About the Position

We at SJR are looking for a lawyer who is available for a consulting assignment starting in April. The assignment is for 6 months with a chance of extension, and you will work as a Compliance Coordinator. The client is a business law firm, and you will be welcomed into an ambitious and dedicated team.

Main Responsibilities

As a Compliance Coordinator, you will work broadly with compliance-related issues together with the rest of the compliance team to ensure adherence to the regulations that the firm is subject to. Furthermore, the work will focus on the client and case acceptance process. The work will also largely involve working with the law firm's policies and internal documents, as well as some training-related initiatives within the compliance area.

Assist in the implementation of new routines and systems within the compliance area.
Support compliance by assisting in the development and updating of relevant guidelines, routines, and policies.
Support initiatives and activities regarding compliance issues that are deemed relevant.
Develop, coordinate, administer, and manage certain training initiatives regarding compliance for the firm's employees and ensure that these trainings are kept up to date.

Suitable Background

You have a law degree and previous experience working with anti-money laundering legislation and KYC, preferably from a law firm, but experience from financial institutions is also acceptable. Your understanding of regulations and legal processes allows you to analyze complex issues and contribute to ensuring compliance with legislation and internal guidelines. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Working in a team towards common goals motivates you, and you have good communication skills. You appreciate working in a dynamic environment where accuracy and quality are crucial.
